In his study of hundreds of thousands of patents, Genrich Altschuller determined there are only about 1,500 basic problems to be solved. And each of these can be solved by applying one or more of the 40 universal answers. That’s right. Every answer to every problem is contained within the 40 Principles of TRIZ – The Theory of Inventive Problem Solving.
